Essential Functions

  • Occasionally modify chassis prior to tow body installation
  • Install tow body onto chassis
  • Install hydraulics onto engine or transmission and plumb hydraulics into tow body
  • Install custom wiring and lighting to tow body and chassis
  • When complete, ensures that the tow truck is built and functioning correctly.
  • Coordinates with necessary departments to troubleshoot a variety of issues.
  • Torques bolts to specific setting according to the build specifications.
  • Adjusts the fluid levels to ensure that the tow truck is functioning properly.
  • Performs a running test of the equipment to ensure that components are functioning properly when the engine is on
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the organization and our customers or other team members.

Essential Functions

  • Inspect and diagnose equipment for condition, broken parts and fluid leave
  • Complete necessary repairs or preventative maintenance per the work order
  • Grease, oil and lubricate components during preventative maintenance work
  • When complete, ensure that the tow truck is repaired and functioning correctly.
  • Coordinates with necessary departments to troubleshoot a variety of issues.
  • Adjusts the fluid levels to ensure that the tow truck is functioning properly.
  • Performs a running test of the equipment to ensure that components are functioning properly when the engine is on
  • Notify Service Manager of any additional areas of concern, not on the repair order.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the organization and our customers or team other team members.
